As the 2007-2008 year approaches, we realize some won’t be able to make events and planned T Club meetings, therefore, we will maintain our connection with you by having quarterly T Club information…..stay tune.

Letter from the T Club President

Dear Fellow Tulane Alumni Athletes:

It is once again time for the annual T Club dues drive. We encourage all of you to consider becoming part of or renewing your membership in the T Club. The T Club is an organization of former Tulane student athletes who share a common goal of continued support for the athletic programs at Tulane University and to maintain and strengthen the relationships of its membership, born on playing fields and courts for Tulane. The T Club is not a money-making venture, nor is it even a charitable organization. The T Club regularly expends all dues raised hosting events for its membership.

As we usher in the 2007-2008 calendar year, Tulane Athletics is poised to compete within Conference USA, on and off the fields. The hiring of Coach Toledo and his staff, and the opening of the new Turchin Stadium, signal the ushering in of a new era for Green Wave Athletics. Despite the setbacks of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, we are invigorated by the resolve shown by the current student athletes as they continue to compete despite substantial obstacles. To that end, it is imperative that the T Club continue to fulfill its function as an extension of the current student athlete population within the local and national sporting communities. Your support is needed for this cause.

Beyond serving as a support group for the current athletes and athletic department, the T Club also gives an opportunity for former generations of Tulane athletes to come together and share fond memories of seasons past. T Club events are crafted for maintaining these unique friendships that developed during our respective times at Tulane. The events also give us opportunities to develop new friendships based on common past experiences. Only a select few have been fortunate enough to represent Tulane on the fields of competition. You are a part of this group, and that fact should be celebrated. This past year, in addition to the traditional football tailgating events, the T Club hosted a winter and spring social and co-hosted the Conk Naquin Memorial Golf Classic.

To join in the action, dues are the same as in past years. The annual $50.00 dues are set for the fiscal year 2007-2008. As encouragement for recent students and graduates, the annual dues are reduced to $20.00 for the first five (5) years out of school. While our capacity remains diminished due to the cutbacks in the athletics and alumni offices, we are committed to giving first class attention to our membership. Therefore, we encourage each of you to renew your commitment to the T Club, or, if you have not joined in the past, we ask you to join our group this year. You will be glad you did.

Benefits include one complimentary ticket per member with the purchase of one ticket to all home football and baseball games. In addition, complimentary admission to all regular season athletic contests on campus and to all T Club events. You will need to show your T Club membership card, which will be mailed to you upon receipt of your dues.
