2024 Tulane School of Social Work Alumni Award Nominations

The Tulane School of Social Work (TSSW) Alumni Association Board is proud to offer members of our TSSW Alumni Community the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions of our peers. The Alumni Awards will be given at an event during the 2024 WAVE Homecoming Weekend with their names displayed on a plaque in the school. This will be the second time in TSSW’s 110-year history that such honors have been extended.

Whether you're breaking new ground with your research, shaking things up with innovative programs, or touching hearts and lives through direct practice, we want to raise a toast to your accomplishments. Recognizing your impact, both in your communities and in shaping the future of social work, is something we hold close to our hearts.

And who better to nominate deserving individuals than you, our cherished alumni! We value your insight into the field and would love for you to nominate peers who you believe deserve these prestigious awards. Don't be shy to nominate yourself either; we know that social work often happens behind the scenes, without much applause.

Please read the awards criteria and eligibility requirements before making your nominations. A candidate may be nominated for more than one award category, and the Selection Committee reserves the right to grant an award for which the candidate has not been nominated. Current Alumni Board members are not eligible for nomination. Candidates must be available to attend the in-person awards ceremony in New Orleans in November 2024 during Tulane’s Homecoming Weekend.

Please keep your nominations private, as only a limited number of recipients can be chosen from among many outstanding candidates. All deliberations of the Selection Committee will be kept confidential. Award winners as well as their nominators will be notified of the results. All nominations will be kept on file for three years for consideration. You do not need to re-nominate for two years after submission unless there is additional information to share.

A nomination should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. If you have any questions, please contact the TSSW Alumni Association at tsswalumni@tulane.edu.
