THE 1914 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD IN ACADEMIA AND RESEARCH
AWARD CRITERIA
The 1914 Distinguished Alumni Award in Academia and Research recognizes Tulane University School of Social Work (TSSW) alumni whose achievements exemplify the values of TSSW and who have made an exceptional impact on the profession since the School opened its doors in 1914.
This award honors a TSSW graduate who, throughout their career (minimum ten years), has consistently demonstrated exceptional contributions to social work research, the Social Work profession, and who have had distinguished careers in social work as outstanding teachers, researchers, and mentors.
The nominee must demonstrate the following:
• Achievement in and outstanding contributions in their field of Social Work expertise in any of the following: Teaching, Research, Publications, and Mentorship in social sciences and social work.
• Superior leadership and depth within their focus in Social Work
• A minimum of ten (10) years post TSSW graduation professional experience
