GK Ambassador Spotlight: Richard “Bray” Gremillion (B '20, B *21)

For Richard “Bray” Gremillion (B '20, B *21), Tulane has always felt like home. A ninth-generation Louisianian from Lafayette, Gremillion earned his finance degree from the A. B. Freeman School of Business in 2020 and his Master of Management in Energy in 2021 after transferring from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Today, Gremillion lives in Houston, where he leads OMSOL, a Louisiana-focused energy infrastructure development company, serves as Vice President of the Tulane Houston Alumni Chapter, and continues his service as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve.

One of the most defining moments of his Tulane experience began with a simple introduction. During his junior year, he approached a group of professionally dressed alumni at The Boot and started a conversation.

“Sometimes leadership starts with something as simple as walking up to a group of people and introducing yourself.”

That chance encounter led to mentorship, professional guidance, and lasting relationships that helped shape both his career and his alumni involvement.

Now, as a GOLD Krewe Ambassador, Gremillion is committed to paying that support forward.

“Alumni offered me guidance, encouragement, and introductions when I was still determining my career path. I now feel a responsibility to offer that same support to students and younger alumni.”

Reflecting on his journey, Gremillion credits Tulane not only for providing a strong academic foundation but also for showing him the value of community and service.

His advice to fellow young alumni?

“Show up, introduce yourself, and be open to meeting fellow alumni in places you might not expect.”

“You never know when the person standing next to you may be a fellow Tulane alumnus who is willing to share advice, make an introduction, or become a lasting friend.”
