Signature Events
Tulane has many special traditions and programs that connect alumni and friends to the rich culture of Tulane and New Orleans. We hope you will join us on campus, closer to home or virtually to enjoy all the signature programs we offer.
Each year, Tulanians come together to recognize outstanding members of our alumni community for their hard work and dedication to the university and their communities. For 52 years, the alumni association has presented a slate of annual awards, and since 2014, the Tulane Alumni Awards Gala has been presented at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans as one of the university’s premier events. Whether or not you can join us for that special evening, you can still be involved in recognizing the leadership of your peers; a committee of the Tulane Alumni Association Board of Directors chooses award winners from nominations from our alumni community and friends. Visit their nominations page for more information.
The TAA values when Tulane alumni inspire their children and grandchildren to include Tulane in their college admission process. While legacy status does not influence admissions decisions, if a student is admitted and chooses to enroll, legacy families (alumni who have children or grandchildren enrolled at Tulane) hold a special place in our alumni community. We honor your commitment to Tulane through special communications, resources and events designed to connect families as you take full advantage of your student’s time at Tulane.
We are anticipating another exciting season of Green Wave football. Check back here to see if Tulane is once again bowl-bound!
Join your fellow Greenies as we celebrate Tulane’s success and rally behind the Green Wave in their potential bowl matchup. Whether you’re traveling to the game or watching from a local club event, it’s the perfect time to show your Tulane pride and close out the season together. Roll Wave!
Tulane Alumni love the food of New Orleans, especially in the springtime when the city is filled with the smell of a good crawfish boil at every turn. In this spirit, regional clubs across the country host their own boils in homes, restaurants and event venues throughout the season. Each region provides its own spin on the tradition, but guests can bet on good food and that New Orleans spirit no matter where they may be!
JOIN US FOR GIVE GREEN: APRIL 7-8, 2026. Give Green is Tulane’s annual day of giving when Tulanians around the world show the power of all we can accomplish in just one day to support our beloved alma mater. Alumni and friends have the opportunity to support what they love most about Tulane and share their Tulane pride.
Each year the TAA commissions a local New Orleans artist to create a work to commemorate the graduating class. The TAA gifts a poster of the piece to each member of the graduating class, and the original work as well as the poster hang on display as part of the Commencement Collection on the second floor of the Lavin-Bernick Center. A limited number of posters are available for sale.
There are so many ways to support Tulane’s 17 intercollegiate sports teams and have a great time doing it! Our athletics programming is the perfect way to cheer on the Green Wave with your fellow Tulanians near and far. Check out a football tailgate on campus before catching a game at Yulman Stadium, follow the Green Wave on the road for regional celebrations and games and cheer our student athletes on at one of our famous club watch parties. If you find yourself on campus for a home football game, stop by the Bea Field Alumni House to join the Alumni Association at the Dibolls Game Day Bar. Roll Wave!
For over thirty years, the alumni association has welcomed the newest members of our community to the university each summer through a series of regional events hosted by alumni and families of current students. Hello Wave receptions provide incoming undergraduates and their families the opportunity to meet one another and learn more about how Tulane is invested in their hometown communities. These events are a wonderful introduction to the institution and to the network of alumni who are eager to support the professional and social development of the newest Tulanians.
Join us to celebrate the Mardi Gras spirit as alumni clubs host local events around the world during the 2026 Carnival season! We are excited to welcome Tulanians in this annual tradition where they can expect New Orleans king cake, Mardi Gras beads and good times with fellow alumni. Unique in their ability to transport alumni back to New Orleans, these events are cherished by alumni worldwide, and we hope you get a chance to experience them close to home!

Inspired by the historic Outreach Tulane student day of service, Tulane Alumni is launching a service series of its own—an alumni edition—and we would love for you to volunteer alongside us in our inaugural effort to give back. We hope to see you at one of our Outreach Tulane Alumni events.
Reconnect with Tulane and classmates every five years to celebrate milestone reunions starting with the 5th and continuing through the 50th and beyond! Undergraduate 5th-45th reunions are celebrated in the fall during Homecoming Weekend, and the 50th and beyond are celebrated in the spring during Commencement Weekend. Classes have the chance to honor their dedication to Tulane and show the power of collective giving via a class gift. Reunions are the perfect time to come back to campus and to New Orleans to see what’s different and what has stayed the same.
Tulane Table is a beloved Tulane tradition in which Tulane alumni bring together small groups of current students to network over dinner in their homes or restaurants around New Orleans. Tulane Table has been known for forging meaningful connections through conversation, good food and camaraderie.

Each fall Tulane welcomes alumni, parents and friends back to campus to celebrate homecoming, family weekend and reunions in a combined celebration. The weekend is filled with receptions, information sessions, model classes, class parties, the annual Tipping Point concert and culminates in a day of tailgating and cheering on the Green Wave football team at Yulman Stadium.
